Fri December 11th
This is the date for the Billericay Jikishin Christmas night out. Venue to be decided, but please put the date in your diary before you all get too booked up.
Well Done to all the guys that have just passed their belts. Well done to Dave and Jason for passing their Brown belts, I understand Jasons trousers kept falling down and slowed things up.
Congratulations also to Andy and Stuart for passing their Orange belts. I hope that Andy's nose gets better, it did seem to be a target on Thursday night.
Rob had a great 2 weeks Florida Brazilian Jujitsu session with a member of the Gracie family and has been sharing techniques with us.
Congratulations to Rob Friar and Suzanne Kinsella for passing the most taxing of all gradings. They both put in excellent work to pass their Black Belts thanks to their hard work at the Billericay Jujisu club and private tuition from ex student Kyle Hargreaves. Well done to both of you
The annual Belgium trip has been cancelled
Anybody interested in the Jikishin Cornwall holiday Trip please let us know
The next quarterly fees are now due for March,April and May 2009.
We have just completed some excellent junior gradings, all parents that came to watch were very proud.
Well done to everyone.
We are pleased to announce that over the next few weeks we have the benefit of experienced boxers training with us who are willing to share tips on improving punching power
We also hope to have access once again to the Full protective suit, as used by the police and armed forces, for full contact defence work and weapon training
Whilst we stress light contact when sparring we have invested in full protection head gear and we do have some body armour for those accidental blows
The next quarterly fees are now due to cover training for Sep, Oct and Nov 2008.
You may recall that to keep things simple, the subscription fees are spread equally into 4 payments throughout the year based on the total number of sessions in the year and don’t necessarily cover the same number of sessions per quarter (.N.B. number of sessions in table below relates to Oct08 - Oct 09)
Please note the closure dates during 2008 as follows:
Sun 28 Sep, Thurs 18th & 25th Dec and Sun 21 & 28th Dec
During 2009, club will be closed on:
Sunday 4th Jan, Easter Sunday12th April and during August as shown below.

These will be held on 14th September at East Tilbury. Money/licences need to be in by Thursday 4th Sept.

Senior Gradings June 2007
Well done to everyone who graded on 10 June (Dave Poulter, Neil
Richardson, Rob Richardson (orange belt) Jason Woolmer, James Spurling
and Rob Friar (Blue belt)). An excellent standard from all of our
students. Next adult grading is 16 September 2007.
Senior Gradings December 2006
At the adult grading on 3rd December 2006 at Courage Hall, Brentwood, Rob Friar and James Spurling successfully completed their Green belt and Suzanne Kinsella achieved her Purple grading - well done everyone !
Chris Benkin and Harry Banks both put in excellent work to achieve their Yellow Belt
Senior Gradings December 2005
Congratulations to Suzanne Kinsella who successfully completed her 'conversion' from her previous Jujitsu style on Sunday 4th December 2005. Suzanne performed very well in the grading and is now officially a Jikishin Blue belt - well done
On Thursday 8th December Rob Friar demonstrated good style and effort during his White belt grading. Everyone on the mat agreed he performed very well on the night and his pass was well deserved. Now for the Yellow belt!
Sunday 11th December saw Kyle Hargreaves attempt his Black belt (Shodan). Kyle had trained really hard for the grading and still was not sure who would be his training partner on the day. We are pleased to report that Kyle was successful and becomes the first pupil since the club's establishment at Billericay Sports Centre to start at White and go all the way through to Shodan. Many congratulations to Kyle.
